Through creative exhibitions, the National Museums Northern Ireland will chart achievements in aerospace, aviation, ship building and textile production, exploring the dramatic stories of nineteenth century industrialisation, the rise of technologies in the twentieth and the challenges of the post industrial society of today.

An island people, one of our strongest stories is of voyage and adventure. One of the most evocative symbols of this is Titanic, which today is celebrated as an important signifier of economic, technological and social regeneration. The National Museums Northern Ireland's transport collection is the largest in Ireland and we are committed to work with a wide range of partners to provide greater access to the story of adventure and achievement to be told through these.
