The living museum is a concept that will apply to all of our museums. It is about experiences of interpretation that engage directly with all our visitors, inspiring people to explore our way of life, past and present.

By using live interpretation and encouraging visitors to participate in activities, the living museum will offer opportunities to experience at first hand a sense of how life was in the past. It will also help to explore the stories of science and technology. Costumed interpreters, working buildings and exhibits, the chance to touch, to hear and to do as well as to look, will bring our stories to life.
